I grew up on the South side of Chicago, IL w/ 3 older siblings & our single mother. My childhood wasn't a cakewalk to say the least...eviction after eviction, living in a condemned home for 4 yrs @ only 8 yrs old, then finally almost being throw into the foster care system after my mom was imprisoned for child endangerment.

This is what probably caused me to grow up a lot more than I should have at a young age, and ultimately pushed me even more towards the music.

You see, I used to sing in the choir as a tenor as a kid, and I listened to secular music; I'd pretty much memorize every lyric I heard and repeat it back to you, kinda like Ray Charles.

My main motivation these days is not having my kids experience that same trauma I went through early on in life.

All my music comes from pain and my triumphs. Pain of my past, and any & all triumphs in my present and future. It's all about moments in my life.

You hear this with songs like "Like I Do" and "W.H.A.L.E", where it sounds like I'm speaking in general, but I'm really talking to me.

Since 2012, I've collaborated w/ my partner in production, Slim Duckey. It started with Sunnyside Movement, and he then helped me build the E.T sound you hear today, as well as turning into a budding new artist himself.
